Five- Minute Walk
In this project, we were to bring our cameras on a "five-minute" walk and take photos of any interesting subjects we found. I went on my walk in a farm in Ipswich, MA. My family went apple picking and I took these photos while I was there.
Panograph
For this particular project, the objective was to take many photos of one scene and put them together to form a larger picture. Much like a puzzle, each photo is a piece and builds on to the bigger picture when placed in the correct place. My panograph was taken by a pond in New Hampshire just before sunset.
Picture in a Picture
In this project, the idea was to have a photo in another photo. The photo on the left was a real photo being held in front of the location where the photo was originally taken. The original photo of the dog was taken on a film camera last winter, the new photo was taken in October. The photo on the right was digitally modified in photoshop. I took a photo of the phone and a photo of the city separately. In photoshop, I cut out the center of the screen on the phone photo and layered it on top of the city photo.
Giant Object
The main idea behind this project was to make an object look bigger than it actually is by putting it in another photo. So, I used a photo of my ukulele and a photo I took from an apartment in Boston. I decided to make the ukulele look as if it was sinking or floating in the water by erasing the bottom part of it. Then, to make it look as if the ukulele has a reflection in the water, I copied the layer of just the ukulele and turned down the transparency. Afterwards, I flipped the new layer upside down and backwards.
Pretzel Wires
Have you ever neatly tied up your headphones and simply placed them in your pocket, then take them out minutes later an they're all tangled up? My idea for this project originated from this first world problem. I took pictures of both my headphones and some yogurt covered pretzels.
